Hyperglycemic unawareness - POV horror story.

[edit]

An aquaintance of mine had type I diabetes. She was treated with insulin from pigs. However, here in Australia, that was replaced with synthetic insulin. She frequently reported that whilst she was very aware of increasing hyperglycemia when she had the pig insulin, she was almost unaware with the synthetic insulin. After some time, the inevitable happened, she had an attack of hyperglycemia and died. 2001:8003:E46B:3E01:6446:32E7:3E26:FD01 (talk) 12:38, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
